Installation Details
This structure is an emergence of past, present and future. It’s purpose is to remind us to hold onto our childlike sense of wonder, to be present in each and every moment, and to be active in providing the best possible future for ourselves and future generations. Our long term vision is to infuse this innovation construction technology with effective permaculture methods to create fully sustainable communities all over the world. Communities in which residents can learn and practice how to live in a harmonious balance with our universe.
The Cosmo Arch
This design was serendipitously created while on call to help the birthing process of Cosmo Riley. He was born at home with the help of community members and our very own designer Brian Korsedal on 9/18/2015. The archway serves as a bridge between generations and the dense geometry is representative of the strength within a community that works together. By bridging the gap between generations we strengthen the community as a whole and create a brighter future for generations to come.
This project was made possible with funding from the City of Gilbert in partnership with the Gilbert Historical Museum, and managed by Scottsdale Public Art through the IN FLUX initiative.
