On June 22nd, over 60 lucky tour-takers soaked up some Valley art & culture on this spectacular summer tour of IN FLUX Cycle 3 artworks! Participants joined IN FLUX initiative partners and artists on this one of a kind ride for this unique chance to see all 13 installations in 7 Valley cities.
We started the day with coffee for the road generously provided the Orange Table. Between stops, we played an IN FLUX exclusive game of Road Trip Bingo highlighting the Valley with our charming tour guides Leslie Barton & Micheal Weakley.
Bingo game winners were rewarded with prizes donated by local businesses throughout the Valley while some tour attendees were given prizes in the week following the tour for posting photos on Instagram using the hash tag #INFLUXAZ.
It’s a big Valley, so we took a lunch break in the middle of the tour where we enjoyed an picnic while being serenaded by the sweet ukulele-playing Justin & Alex of Rough Tough Dynamite.
When the tour ended we walked over to SMoCA, for free admission to their current exhibitions and then on to AZ88 for special happy hour offers. For those who preferred a sweet happy hour treat, Cool Gelato Italiano offered 50 cents off any cup or cone.
