Join us for a morning reception celebrating the latest completed IN FLUX installation, Ann Morton’s Picture Yourself, a project commissioned by the Town of Gilbert that incorporates the work of nearly 700 participants.
Picture Yourself is a socially engaged installation conceived by Morton after considering the phrase, “It’s What’s On the Inside that Counts.” For months, Morton collected drawings and doodles collected from Gilbert Residents asked to represent themselves on paper. Those images were then laminated and installed as banners, which now hang in the yard at Postino East.
We’ll enjoy live music by violinist Kevin Huang and nosh on complimentary breakfast snacks while viewing the installation alongside Ann Morton, Gilbert Mayor John Lewis, and art lovers in the community.
