Installation Details
Ryan Peter Miller from Tempe depicted the story of paint through a visual evolution of representative techniques—flat illustrations progressed through drips, splatters, and pools of paint to dimensional sculptural forms. All elements were applied to fabricated panels placed within the space to create a layered composition, drawing the viewer through this visual evolution. This dynamic installation addressed the continued adaptive ability of paint within a burgeoning visual culture, drawing a direct parallel to the accompanying economic shift.
This artwork was commissioned by Scottsdale Public Art.
