Stained Glass Cacti

The three cacti that comprise this sculpture are playful and colorful wood and plexiglass fabrications. Artist Eli Richard was inspired by Phoenix’s funky ’60s modern architecture and kitschy Arizona tourist knick-knacks. The sculptures are two dimensional and reminiscent of a desert scene in a popup book, casting shadows on the sidewalks, patios and walls of the adjacent buildings at sunset.
