Though he is formally trained in (and practices) photography, Tempe artist Logan Bellew’s work is also concerned with experimental performance and site-based installation. In Fear and Water, Bellew explores a recurring dream of a tidal wave related to a near-drowning in childhood.
Turning a tidal wave into an invitation to understand and become a part of our fears, overcoming fear with acceptance—and ultimately strength—turning that which frightens us into something that empowers us. A transformation of fear into strength and beauty.
