Installation Details

Tempe-based artist Bobby Zokaites is interested in engaging the imagination through the creation of large-scale, colorful, and interactive spaces and objects. For this IN FLUX installation he used seatbelt webbing and sunshade to create a sculpture that is inspired by the Arizona frontier and adventurism of the 20th century. In this way he playfully combines the values of the old with new space-age materials and techniques. The piece is named for the folk legend Daniel Boone, a man who traveled west into the frontier.

This artwork was commissioned by Town of Gilbert Arts, Culture, and Tourism Board
